Mounting
Elkhorn ferns are epiphytic, meaning they naturally grow attached to trees. For best results:
- Mount on wood, cork, or similar materials
- Use sphagnum moss around the roots
- Secure with fishing line or plant-safe wire until established
Watering
Proper watering is crucial:
- Soak the root ball and shield fronds thoroughly when the moss feels dry
- Allow excess water to drain completely
- Reduce watering in winter
- Mist shield fronds occasionally
Light & Positioning
Place your fern where it receives:
- Bright, indirect light
- Protection from direct sun, especially midday
- Good air circulation

Postage rates INCLUDE box costs and packing material. A lot of care is taken in wrapping and packing your plants so that they arrive in a good condition. Plants are sent in there pots (unless stated in the listing). Packaging and Posting rates for more than one item can be combined when items are purchased in a 5 day window. Please wait for amended invoice to come thru if purchasing more than one item.
AS A GUIDE:
Rates for additional items, largest item plus –:$2 for extra tubes, $4 for extra plants. (Small) $6, for larger bulkier plants $10 for big plants and tray lots. If you are buying more than one item, you can send us a Shipping Request during checkout.
MAILOUTS are posted out ON A TUESDAY as a general rule once a week.
