Care Instructions

Follow these detailed care instructions to keep your Elkhorn Fern thriving:

Mounting

Elkhorn ferns are epiphytic, meaning they naturally grow attached to trees. For best results:

• Mount on wood, cork, or similar materials
• Use sphagnum moss around the roots
• Secure with fishing line or plant-safe wire until established

Watering

Proper watering is crucial:

• Soak the root ball and shield fronds thoroughly when the moss feels dry
• Allow excess water to drain completely
• Reduce watering in winter
• Mist shield fronds occasionally

Light & Positioning

Place your fern where it receives:

• Bright, indirect light
• Protection from direct sun, especially midday
• Good air circulation

Postage rates for 1 item is dependent on size of plant, as all our plants are of different sizes and shapes.

For extras in these or combined purchases of different size plants, largest plant is 1^st calculated and additional plants as per combined sizes below. You would need to submit a SHIPPING REQUEST for combine Post and Packing (P+P)

 

COMBINED POSTAGE RATES EXPLANATION.

• Postage rates INCLUDE box costs and packing material, labour and transport to post office.
• A lot of care is taken in wrapping and packing your plants so that they arrive in a good condition.
• Plants are sent in there pots (unless stated in the listing)
• Packaging and Posting rates for more than one item can be combined when items are purchased in a 5 day window. PLEASE SUBMIT A SHIPPING REQUEST to get P+P costs.
• AS A GUIDE--- Rates for additional items, largest item plus --:

$6 for extra plants. (Small-Std)

$8 for larger bulkier plants (Lrg)

$10 for big plants (XL)

$15 for trays and pack lots

• MAILOUTS are posted out ON A TUESDAY as a general rule once a week.
• You will need to submit a Shipping Request if purchasing more than 1 item

PLEASE NOTE that we do not accept returns or exchanges for any products sold. By completing your purchase, you agree to these terms. We encourage customers to carefully review product descriptions, images, and any available specifications before making a purchase. If you have any questions about a product before buying, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist. EXCEPTIONS (IF ANY): If your item arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and a description of the issue. We will do our best to resolve the matter promptly.
