Up for sale is a beautifully established Astrophytum asterias cv. Super Kabuto measuring approximately 70mm in diameter.
Grown by me from Super Kabuto seed, this plant features a clean, classic green body with a distinct, lighter-flecked mosaic pattern and prominent, fluffy white areoles. It is currently pushing a fresh flower bud from the center crown.
Crucially, this specimen is completely seed-grown on its own roots (never grafted). It has a strong, mature root system, making it incredibly stable, hardy, and easy to care for compared to common imported grafts. Flawless skin with excellent symmetry.

Mounting
Elkhorn ferns are epiphytic, meaning they naturally grow attached to trees. For best results:
- Mount on wood, cork, or similar materials
- Use sphagnum moss around the roots
- Secure with fishing line or plant-safe wire until established
Watering
Proper watering is crucial:
- Soak the root ball and shield fronds thoroughly when the moss feels dry
- Allow excess water to drain completely
- Reduce watering in winter
- Mist shield fronds occasionally
Light & Positioning
