Up for sale is a large, highly symmetrical Astrophytum asterias cv. 5-Rib Fukuryu reaching almost 85mm in diameter.
Grown from high-quality imported Thai seed lines on its own natural roots (strictly never grafted). It features a clean, flawless green nudum body, beautifully spaced fluffy white areoles, and stable 5-rib geometry with Fukuryu ridging beginning to show nicely in the valleys.
Excellent health, firm, and fully established. A fantastic opportunity to secure a rare specimen-sized Asian cultivar that has already done the hardest years of growth.

Mounting
Elkhorn ferns are epiphytic, meaning they naturally grow attached to trees. For best results:
- Mount on wood, cork, or similar materials
- Use sphagnum moss around the roots
- Secure with fishing line or plant-safe wire until established
Watering
Proper watering is crucial:
- Soak the root ball and shield fronds thoroughly when the moss feels dry
- Allow excess water to drain completely
- Reduce watering in winter
- Mist shield fronds occasionally
Light & Positioning
